Real Deals Partnership & A Toast to Some Recent Funders

European private equity media company, Real Deals, has chosen Launch It to be their official charity partner for the 2024 ESG & Good Business Awards.

REAL DEALS PARTNERSHIP

Partnerships with different private organisations, brands and government bodies are integral to ensuring Launch It's work gets amplified to reach young founders and communities most in need of support.

Through this latest opportunity with Real Deals, Launch It will take part in their awards shows throughout the year and will be the recipients of funding to be raised in these events involving top companies and partners in the industry. Two of the first few events held recently were the 23rd annual Real Deals Private Equity Awards, the longest running and most prestigious private equity awards in Europe, and The Drawdown Awards, which celebrate excellence and innovation within private fund operations.

Launch It CEO, Pat Shelley, said: “Partnerships like this are very important in ensuring we gather enough resources to deliver support programmes for young people in the best possible way. We are grateful to Real Deals for this special opportunity to bring our work closer to more people who can become part of the important movement we are trying to make.”

NEW FUNDING

Three funders have also generously provided support to fund our upcoming Launch It Labs programme and our Kent, and Neasden enterprise centres, respectively: London Freemasons, Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust and John Lyon’s Charity.

John Lyon's Charity Senior Grants and Public Policy Manager, Erik Mesel, said: “John Lyon's Charity is a children and young people specialist funder. We support programmes for young people under 25, working in eight north and west London boroughs, Brent being one of them. We’ve followed Launch It’s work for a while and have seen some of the work they have done in Tottenham. There’s a track record that Launch It has in supporting young people and we were very excited when they established Launch It Neasden, a new centre in Brent. We are happy to be part of this journey; to help sustain this entrepreneurship and community hub for the young people of Brent.”
